UPM ProFi Deck is selected as one of Kevin's Green Heroes and on show at Grand Designs Live Exhibition, London Excel: 30th April to 8th of May

Grand Designs is one of the UK's most popular TV shows, already in its tenth series it regularly achieves 5 million viewers. The show's presenter, Kevin McCloud, whose passion for celebrating good architectural design has made him a household name, is also the driving force behind the Grand Designs Live exhibitions.

As the UK's biggest and best home design shows, in addition to showcasing building products, the shows offer a wide selection of free seminars, consultations and inspiration. In 2011, Grand Designs Live London will last for nine days from Saturday 30th April to Sunday 8th May at London's Excel exhibition centre. 100 000 visitors are expected.

Based on his love of truly innovative green building products and services, Kevin McCloud decided to launch "Kevin's Green Heroes". He has personally chosen ten products or inventions that he feels deserve wider recognition. UPM ProFi Deck, the new composite decking system made from re-cycled sticky labels is one of Kevin's Green Heroes.

Designed in Finland, and made in Finland and Germany, UPM ProFi Deck's stone like surface is hard wearing and almost maintenance free. Unlike traditional timber and composite decks, it requires no sanding or oiling, is easy to clean, and will stay looking good for years. UPM ProFi Deck´s range of six colours allows the creation of a fresh and modern look for outdoor living. UPM ProFi Deck is the first composite decking to achieve the CE mark.

UPM ProFi Deck is available throughout the UK through Travis Perkins and Keyline branches.
