Composite as a material

Material innovation - called UPM ProFi - was invented in 2005. The new composite offered better colour durability and stain resistance than traditional wpc deckings. Over 60% of the raw material of the new composite could be sourced from self-adhesive label waste. No recycling solution previously existed for this waste.

Green Good Design. UPM ProFi winner in 2010. The award is a distinguished international recognition awarded to the best sustainable solutions and materials.
Sustainable Innovation Management Prize at Germany's Best Innovator Awards. UPM was awarded the “Sustainable Innovation Management” prize at the “Best Innovator 2010” awards in Germany.
Paysalia, France. UPM ProFi was nominated the best product by visitors in France's leading landscape exhibition Paysalia in 2009.

Networking with local landscapers and architects

We work in a close co-operation with a network of local landscapers and landscape architects arranging WPC decking trainings and consulting in landscape architecture and urban design. We are a member of GaLaBau, Heinze, Raumprobe, Baufragen and DTAD in Germany, UNEP in France, The Royal Institute of British Architects RIBA in UK and RT-tieto in Finland.
